The poisson process is not memoryless. The distribution of waiting time in the Poisson process is memoryless, and that is the exponential distribution.

Maybe the lecturer mentioned ‘memoryless’ in Bernoulli because each trial is independent? But as you said, that’s a different kind of memoryless.
